How are the cookie cutters made?

These cookie cutters and cookie stamps are custom made using 3D printing, and their material is bioplastic (food-safe PLA). Generally, the cutter shapes are made with a 5 mm rim to make it easier to remove them from the cookie dough, and they can be used for dough that is 8 mm thick. But of course, for custom requests, we can realize any 3D model with any dimensions.

How to use it?

Of course, just like any other cookie cutter, but there are some minor differences compared to mass-produced metal cutters. To make it easier to cut the dough, it is advisable to coat the cutter thoroughly with flour or powdered sugar. Pay attention to ensure the dough is of appropriate thickness, not too thick compared to the form. This plastic is not dishwasher safe, so please wash it by hand only with warm soapy water. And definitely be careful, DO NOT place the cookie cutter in the oven or microwave, as this plastic cannot withstand high temperatures.

Finally, a delicious recipe

And if you have honored us with your trust and read this blog post all the way through, then we recommend this truly delicious festive gingerbread recipe, perfect for Advent or Easter.

Ingredients:

• 3 eggs

• 60g butter

• 500g flour

• 250g powdered sugar

• 100g fine honey

• 1 tsp. baking soda

• Grated zest of 1 medium lemon

• 1 tbsp. gingerbread spice mix • a pinch of salt

Preparation:

Start heating the honey in a pot over low heat. Pour in the powdered sugar and stir until it becomes liquid. Remove the pot from the stove, mix in the butter, then let it cool. Mix together the flour, salt, lemon zest, baking soda, and gingerbread spice mix. Stir the foamy beaten eggs into the cooled honey mixture, then pour the whole mixture into the flour mixture. Work the gingerbread dough as thoroughly as possible. Wrap it in foil, and if you have time, place it in the refrigerator for at least a day. The next day, knead the dough well again, then roll it out to about 3-5 millimeters thick on a floured pastry board. Dip the cookie cutters thoroughly in flour or powdered sugar, then cut out the gingerbread cookies. If you want beautifully shiny cookies, you can brush the tops with beaten egg. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius, then bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy your meal!
